There has been a lot of buzz lately on forums, online communities, media and such about The High Experience Cozumel. I was curious about it so I set to find out!

So what is The High Experience Cozumel? It is a restaurant that can accommodate 22 people that is lifted by a high capacity (high tonnage) crane, in which you can have brunch, lunch, snacks, drinks or dinner at 45 meters (147 ft) high while enjoying the views around you.

Of course, with a new, unique experience like this, there are lots of doubts and questions around it, so in this article, I will address them with a little more depth.

Is The High Experience Cozumel Safe?

The High Experience Cozumel is a safe attraction that has all the legal and technical certifications and meets international safety standards. It even exceeds the most rigorous safety requirements; To give you an example, the crane that lifts the table has the capacity to lift up to 160 tons, and the table that it lifts, only weighs 7 tons.

Amazing views, the experience is one of those that you have to at least live once in your life. The staff is wonderful and the idea is amazing. If you’d like to leave someone completley amazed, this is the percise experience, have brunch, lunch or dinner at 45 meters high and amaze the one you love the most.

Where is it located?

The High Experience Cozumel is located on a permanent basis (other similar restaurant concepts operate temporarily, for one or two weeks only, around several cities in the world), in the Chankanaab Park Cozumel.

Chankanaab is a government-operated park that has some of Cozumel’s most beautiful beaches and coral reefs. As part of their attraction portfolio, this National Park gave The High Experience the permits to be there and operate on a permanent basis.

How Long Does The High Experience Cozumel Last?

The whole experience, from the moment you arrive at its location, are welcomed by its staff, take your seats, and have either brunch, lunch, snacks and drinks, or dinner, lasts from around 1.5 to 2 hours.

What Kind of Food Does The High Experience Cozumel Offer?

This attraction offers authentic gourmet Mexican cuisine (declared “Intangible Heritage of Humanity” by UNESCO).

Is The High Experience Cozumel Expensive?

Here are the prices as of November 2019 of The High Experience Cozumel. They vary depending on the option you want, being brunch, lunch, snacks and drinks or dinner. For more information on pricing for this, you can visit their webpage.

In all cases, the ticket to The High Experience includes entrance to Chankanaab Park (including the eco-archaeological tour, Sea Lion Show, Crocodiles and Manatee display and access to the beach and open areas of the park).

Because Chankanaab Park closes its doors early, and in case you book dinner with The High Experience, I recommend that you visit the park before your dinner, so you can enjoy both activities.

What if you have to go to the bathroom or feel sick on The High Experience Cozumel?

Before you sit on The High Experience table and are lifted by the crane, you are given a complete explanation of what the experience implies. You are reminded to go to the bathroom before this experience so that you have better enjoyment of it.

In case that you feel sick, have an emergency or really can’t wait to go to the bathroom, don’t worry, the table can be lowered in a matter of seconds.

Minimum Requirements to be able to go on The High Experience Cozumel

  • Age: The minimum age to be able to live this experience is 6 years old.
  • Height: A minimum of 1.30 meters (4.27 ft).
  • Weight: Your maximum weight must be 150 kg (330 lbs).
  • Pregnant women must not exceed 30 weeks into their pregnancy to be able to go on this experience.
  • People with back problems can not go on this experience.
  • People with heart conditions can not go on this experience.
